Magnus Group CEO Olly Magnus has been judging the Suffolk Business Awards 2023 after winning Director of the Year in 2022.
Olly was named Director of the Year at the 2022 Suffolk Business Awards ceremony in recognition of his work at the company.
He spoke highly of last year’s award’s impact: “Having won it last year, it’s something that can never be taken away from me and is right up there as one of my proudest moments ever, and certainly in my business life.”
As a result, Olly was invited back by the Suffolk Business Awards this year to serve as a judge, helping to select a winner of this year’s Director of the Year, which celebrates innovation and leadership shown in businesses across the region.
Olly and his fellow judges across the awards categories follow strict five-point criteria to determine which businesses and individuals are the leading candidates, and it’s certainly not a role to be taken lightly.
The four finalists in each of the business awards will be announced on August 23, and they will then be invited to attend a black-tie event at Kesgrave Hall in Ipswich on September 28.
As a previous winner, Olly can serve as a judge alongside event sponsors and well-respected local business community members.
Olly added: “I was very honoured to have been asked to be one of the judges for the East Anglian Daily Times Suffolk Business Director of the Year awards.
“It has been amazing to be part of the process to find the 2023 winner and a lot of fun with sponsor and fellow judge Emma Proctor King. Best of luck to the finalists; it was great to meet you all in person and virtually.”
