This month will see our CEO, Olly Magnus, attending an event to celebrate the “Suffolk 100” list produced by The East Anglian Daily Times.
Suffolk 100
Launched in 2010 as a platform to celebrate the county of Suffolk, it is a fantastic way to say thank you to those who have made a special contribution to the county. Unlike traditional awards, it brings together people from business, along with sport, education, community, public sector and the third sector.
It’s the first time since 2017 that the list has been produced. When it is published in full later this month, it will be interesting to see how it will reflect the changes the county has seen in those five years. Despite the global pandemic the county has done brilliantly to grow, evolve and develop introducing a new cahoot of fantastic advocates.
Olly is honoured to be included alongside those from organisations such as Suffolk Mind, St Elizabeth Hospice and Birketts.
Proud of Suffolk
Magnus Group Ltd has been operating in Suffolk for nearly 50 years. Our HQ, with truck haulage, and warehousing is based in Great Blakenham, just outside Ipswich. Magnus’s freight forwarding department and further warehousing are based at Felixstowe. With our pallet distribution network and bulk warehousing services, it is hard to go far in Suffolk without seeing a Magnus lorry in its striking green and black livery.
Everyone at Magnus is very proud of our county, and what Suffolk offers. It is a great honour to have Olly included on the list in 2022.

Representing the county and supporting the community is an integral part of Olly’s mission.
Magnus Group provides sponsorship support to various community sports clubs in the county. He was proud to sign up Magnus Group to become the sponsors of Ipswich Town Football Club’s main stand in 2021. That arrangement led the club to invite Olly onto the Ipswich Town FC Community Trust board as a trustee.
“I still can’t quite believe it,” says Olly. “When I received the email I first thought it was a joke! I had no idea I had even been nominated. I feel very honoured to be included in the Suffolk 100”.
