Over the past few weeks, we have seen a special delivery into our HQ at Great Blakenham in Suffolk – our ten new trucks to add to our fleet.

Naming of trucks
The origins of Magnus Group is with Paul Magnus Transport. Paul founded his company back in the 1970s and started naming his trucks after the women in his family. Here you can see Emma Lightfoot, Paul’s daughter and Magnus Group’s Head of Personnel, with her original named truck back in the early 80s. (Emma loves it when we share this photo!!)
Olly, Paul’s son, and now CEO of Magnus Group Ltd, has kept up that tradition.
The names are now chosen by long-standing and key members of the Magnus team.
Names for 2022
The first three trucks which arrived back in early January were named:
“Lauren May” – the daughter of Mark Oakley, COO of Magnus.
‘Stephanie Laura’ after our Office Manager, Stephanie Hammond.
‘Hayley Jane’ after the wife of our Transport Manager, Robert Green. Robert has been with Magnus Group for 15 years.
Our latest arrivals are named:
“Lola Grace” – the daughter of our warehouse manager, Rick Everett. Rick has been with Magnus Group for over 20 years.
“Lilly Anna” and “Lynsey Marie” – our COO, Mark Oakley’s daughter, and wife.
“Christine Ann” – our transport manager of 15 years, Rob Green’s Mum.
“Sophie Georgia” – the daughter of the legend who is Patsi Brown, who has been with Magnus for a whopping 36 years.
“Amanda Jane” – the wife of our Transport Director, Martin Gomersall.
